A MESSAGE FROM THE REGISTRAR - Damaris N. Gwako

Registrar's Message:

As the Registrar of Keroka Technical Training institute I can say that our institution is one of the oldest institutions of higher learning in Western Nyanza Region in Kenya. It is also one of the fastest growing institutions in the region.  The institution has many on-going academic programs which have grown tremendously. We train and equip students with the technical and business skills as per the requirements of the labour market/industry. We admit students from all counties the country in different courses ranging from Artisan Courses, Craft Certificate Courses to Diploma Courses and we are now looking forward to start offering Higher Diploma for the approved courses very soon.
Currently, the courses we offer are examined by Kenya National Examinations Council (KNEC). As from 2021 the institution will also roll out Competency Based Education and Training (CBET). This curriculum will ensure that students are practically oriented which in line with the National Government’s Big 4 Agenda.

The Registrar’s office is charged with the responsibility of ensuring the integrity of student records, interpreting and enforcing academic policies, and providing outstanding student services. The office also handles student admissions; collaborates with the Academics office in curriculum implementation; collaborates with the Exams office by ratifying examinations; organizes academic fairs and coordinates research and innovation initiatives. The Registrar’s office must complete these responsibilities while adapting to ever-changing technologies and increasing service expectations from students, parents, and stakeholders in the public and private sectors.

Therefore Keroka Technical Training Institute (KETTI) is the place to be in order to acquire knowledge and skills.
